The International Society for Disease Surveillance (ISDS) conference is the premier event dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of biosurveillance. Every year, the ISDS conference draws approximately 400 professionals from a broad range of disciplines to learn the latest achievements, analytic methods, best practices, conceptual frameworks, and technical innovations in the rapidly evolving field of disease surveillance.
What's New for 2018?
Plenty! We have new dates, location and program offerings. Here are the highlights:
The conferences (yes two conferences) will be January 30 - February 2, 2018. We've moved later into winter to avoid the November and December holidays.
For the first time ever, we'll be in sunny, warm Orlando. Consider bringing your family to share a break from winter weather in America's most popular tourist destination.
We have two conferences -- our Annual Conference, plus our first-ever One Health Symposium. Registration options are simplified. Workshops are included in the Conference, and you may select your choice of days to attend.
The ISDS conferences provide fertile ground for cultivating new ideas and partnerships by bringing together local, state, and federal public health practitioners, academic researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and decision makers from governmental and nongovernmental entities.
The ISDS Conference attracts registrants from around the world to both hear and present current research in the realms of public health surveillance. In an average year, participants may expect to be able to select from 200 presentations delivered in traditional oral presentations, "lightning" orals, posters, roundtables and panels.
The three-day conference also includes classroom style workshops for practitioners at all levels of experience, from persons entering the surveillance field to those working at the highest levels. Workshops provide an opportunity to acquire or perfect skills necessary for health surveillance.
Thank You to Our 2016 Conference Sponsors
ISDS gratefully acknowledges the support of organizations who support the conference through sponsorship and allows the Society to keep registration costs as low as possible, particularly for students and persons traveling from low-income countries around the world.
