Frequently Asked Questions: Career Center
The Career Center is the ISDS community job bulletin board on www.healthsurveillance.org. Registered members on the website may submit job postings and search for openings through this feature. To learn of any new postings to the Career Center immediately, be sure to "Subscribe" to the page and indicate your preference for job categories.
At the moment, all job postings are made publicly available. We recommend navigating to the Career Center page to search for any job openings. Once on the page, find the icons of a magnifying glass with the words "Search Openings." Clicking on this will bring you to a search page where you can filter job openings by location, organization, category type and requirement. Hitting the "Search" button without filling in any fields in the search form will show you all job postings currently available.
As a registered member of www.healthsurveillance.org, you can submit a job posting through the Career Center or through your profile.
To submit a job posting in the Career Center, go to the Career Center and click on the menu option at the top that says "Submit an Opening." You will then be brought to a form where you can specify position title, length of time for posting and job description. Fill out all information as needed and then click "Submit."
To submit a job posting through your profile, log in to your account and go your "Account + Settings" page. Navigate to the "Content & Features" tab where you will automatically be brought to your "Job Postings" page. This page in your profile shows any career postings you have made. Find the "+Submit an Opening" menu option on this page and you should be brought to the same form as located in the Career Center. Fill out all information as needed and then click "Submit."
Once you submit your post, please wait a few days for your post to show up in the Career Center to allow staff to review and approve your job posting.
You can upload your resume once you log in to your account and go your "Account + Settings" page. Navigate to the "Content & Features" tab and click on the "Resumé/CV"menu option. Once on this page, complete the template provided to upload a resume you can share on www.healthsurveillance.org.
If you would like to upload a resume file instead, still navigate to the "Resumé/CV" page and fill out the required fields marked with an asterisk. Review the "Classification" and "Privacy Options" sections and be sure to check the box at the bottom that says "I want to attach a document after submitting my Resumé/CV." Click on the blue "Save" button to then be directed to a page where you can attach your file.
At the moment, we do not offer CE or other professional development credits for our educational webinars and activities.
