If you have volunteered to review abstracts for the 2019 Conference, thank you! Below are instructions that will guide you through the process.
Log in to your Scholar One account.
Once you have been assigned abstracts, you will have a new tab labeled "Review". Clicking it will take you to the abstracts page.
Once on the Abstract Review Page. Read All Instructions, then scroll down the page to see abstracts assigned to you.
Double-click on the Control ID number to show the Abstract in a pop-up window. (Note, if this does not work, you must enable pop-ups in your browser.)
You have the ability to leave comments for the author. It is very helpful for authors who receive less-than-desirable scores to ask for feedback, so please take a moment to add your comments for the author. Be sure to click the small orange “Save” box below the comment box.
Next score the abstract by clicking on the word “Select” beneath each category of “Relevance”, “Originality”, etc. When you click on a number and then click out of the cell, that score is automatically saved.
Finally, enter your recommendation to accept or reject the abstract. When you accept, you must indicate a presentation format. Please note that the author will generally have indicated an interest in the type of presentation (Oral, Lightning or Poster). This information is at the top of the Abstract. A good abstract should be accepted in the first choice of the presenter.
